Tomorrow afternoon we are dropping off gift baskets to a local hospital. They are to cheer up some of the women who will be in there for a while. So far I got these-

A cute coffee mug
A bag of instant coffee
Some pretty smelling lotion
A word find book and a craft magazine
Yummy chocolate candies
A relaxing music CD

what are some other cute little things I can put in the basket? I’m going out this afternoon to finish it up.

A picture frame so they can add a photo of family. Socks to keep their feet warm (cute ones). Manicure stuff like files and clippers and some hand lotions and maybe fingernail polish. hair clippys, room spray or air fresheners, hospitals don’t smell great.

Ok, so money is gonna be VERY tight this year, so I thought about doing homemade gift baskets for some people. Im trying to think of something Unique and not the ordinary hot chocolate, cheese, and such baskets. The main people I need help with are my sister and step sisters (12, 13 and 17), my mom and step dad and then one for my best friend her husband, her step daughter(12) and her son(10 months) I am kinda crafty, so ANY advice/tips would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks

here are some ideas!!

The girls (12,13,12):
Get 3 cute small makeup bags
Fill them with,
- a little bottle of lotion
- Some burts bees lip balm – they have cute little bags available with a lib blam and gloss
- travel mirror
- some hair elastics/clips
- a bottle of nail polish
- and a nail file

The baby boy:
get a soft bag (like those plush ones) or sew one
fill it with,
- a plush book
- a stuffed animal
- a soft blanket

Mom:
fill it with anything she likes, does she like cooking? buy a pot and fill it with a timer, molds, measuring spoons, and a small cook book.. does she like sewing/knitting? Get a wicker basket and fill it with assorted yarn, needles, pins, thimble, and some thread maybe even a gift card to Jo.Anne fabrics or something.

Step dad:
Fill it with anything he likes, does he like sports? get a sports tote and fill it with a jersey fo his favorite team, a foot ball, a gift card to a sports store, and a pair of socks. Does he like reading? get a book bag and fill it with a gift card to Barnes and Noble, a favorite book of his, make a custom book mark… anything he likes.

Best friend:
again, fill it with anything she likes. Does she like beauty stuff? Get a makeup bag and fill it with nail polish, lip balm, a pretty shade of lip stick, lotion, nail file, and nail clippers.

Best Friend’s husband:
again, fill it with anything he likes…

hope I helped :)

Am settting out to start the above businesses in my city and would like information on chocolate shop layouts, gift service ideas including the gift baskets etc trends, what types of chocolate to sell etc. Thx for any useful links on biz plans.

I’ve already decided on a framed photo of us together, chocolate, and nice cologne, but what else should I add? This is going to be a large gift basket; the kind you see at silent auctions and such. We’re 17 and have been dating for almost two years. We’re not sexually active, so obviously I don’t plan on including anything that has to do with sexual intercourse. We do, however, engage in other sexual activities. He likes paintball, but to be honest, I know nothing about it and I have no idea what to buy him if I include anything dealing with paintball. I would like to include items that are practical, but also show that I love him and take notice of his interests. Any ideas, please?
I’d also like to limit answers on this question. When I said that we’re not sexually active, but we "engage in other sexual activities" I meant that we don’t have sexual intercourse. I’m not perfect- my brain was obviously going faster than my typing. Sorry *some of you* didn’t understand that. Also, if you think that what I’ve decided on is "too much" because it’s "not Christmas," then please don’t answer my question. I’m not interested if you don’t approve of the amount of items I am getting my boyfriend. I thought we established that I’m looking for MORE ideas, not less. Thanks, though. Oh, and please, no pet names said in a derrogatory manner, such as "dear".

a cool t-shirt rolled up tight, with a red ribbon tied around it.

A cool pair of mens loungepants/pajama bottom type things for when he sleeps- (it will keep him thinking of you)

You may also want to give him and yourself each a book- He will really appreciate this one if you do and realize how much you really care- ‘the ten stupid things women do to mess up their lives and the ten stupid things men do to mess up their lives" both by Dr Laura Slesinger. You can review the books at any bookstore because they were on the best sellers list for a long time. If you do not get the books now get them later and at the very least read the one for women. He would see you as a very smart and caring babe.

A gift card to jamba juice.

My sister is throwing me a baby shower and I wanted to get her a small gift to thank her. I wanted to spend about $15-$25. I thought about making a gift basket with chocolates and wine, but she just worked really hard to lose 120 pounds and I know she won’t use that. Any ideas for non-edible gifts?

Everyone loves smelly stuff. Make a basket of lotions and candles and other scents. That is what I did for my hostess.
